Well...

 here it is!

This poem preceded  three other poems which were determined too controversial for publication in the "Moonlight Surrender" series.

It placed me in a most damnable spot in regards to the continuation of the story line and unfortunately I had become too desensitized and depressed at the time to continue.

On the other hand...     it was a good write!!!

Conceiving Deceptions

Another fortnight has since passed

Of our longest separation

Utter fear dwells in my soul

With absolute desolation

Two dreadful months with no catamenia

These qualms of uncertainty and much despair

Fearing your rejection of paternity

Imminent consequences of our affair

A secret, I too must conceal

Until I begin to descend

Having faith and confidence

That your wandering days will end

Sleepless nights, that I lie awake

Pondering over our future

Will this be a new beginning...

Or a painful means of closure?
